Accell Group Appoints Gijsbert de Zoeten as New CFO
Accell Group, the leading European e-bike provider and a major player in bicycle parts and accessories, has appointed Gijsbert de Zoeten as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The announcement came on March 15th, 2024, marking a significant move for the Dutch company.
De Zoeten brings a wealth of experience to Accell Group, having served as CFO in various prominent roles since 2008. Most recently, he held the position at Inchcape PLC, where he successfully managed complex supply chains and operations. Prior to this, he led companies such as Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc and Ageas Group.
With a career spanning over two decades, including 25 years at Unilever, de Zoeten has a proven track record in driving sustainable growth. He notably served as the CFO of Unilever Europe, where he focused on sustainability as a core business driver. His extensive experience also includes serving on the supervisory board of the Delft University of Technology, chairing the Audit Committee.
The Dutch Association of Registered Controllers has recognized de Zoeten's expertise, ranking him in the annual top 50 registered controllers multiple times. His appointment at Accell Group is expected to strengthen the company's financial foundation and accelerate its strategic vision.
Accell Group, established in 1998 and selling over 500 million bicycles from renowned brands, welcomes Gijsbert de Zoeten as its new CFO. With his extensive experience in finance and sustainability, de Zoeten is poised to make a significant impact on the company's future.
