Acquisition advice given by Dentons to Acuity Knowledge Partners for their acquisition of Ascent

In a significant move, Acuity Knowledge Partners, a global provider of research, data management, analytics, and AI solutions, has announced the acquisition of Ascent, a leading European provider of AI-powered digital transformation services. The deal, which is expected to close on 30 September 2025, is set to significantly expand Acuity's Data and Technology Services division.

The acquisition is expected to enhance Acuity's offering of technology and AI-driven services and solutions. Ascent operates with 550 data, software, and cloud specialists across seven European jurisdictions, providing AI-powered digital transformation services to over 170 clients globally. The most important clients of Ascent, now part of Acuity Knowledge Partners, come from industries such as reinsurance, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and retail, while Acuity itself primarily serves financial sector clients including asset managers, corporate and investment banks, private equity and venture capital firms, hedge funds, and consulting companies.

Neil Nicholson, UK Corporate Partner at Dentons, led the Dentons team advising Acuity on this important and complex deal. Rachael Del Riccio, a Corporate partner, also led the Dentons team. The team included Pamela Gilmour, a Banking counsel, Lorna McCaa, a Tax partner, Alex Macdonald, Marina Aspinall, and Katie Percy, Corporate associates, Victoria Albon, an Employment senior associate, Guy Vouha, a Tax associate, Laura Brennen, an Employment associate, and Alex Celik, a Corporate paralegal. Stuart Fitzsimmons, a Banking partner, and Jen Cameron, a Banking trainee, also provided support. Volker Junghanns provided additional support from Germany as a Corporate partner, and Celine Brunnett provided additional support as a Corporate senior associate. Elouisa Crichton, an Employment partner, was also part of the team.
