Airport in Quad Cities enhances emergency response capabilities through implementation of InterTalk's Enlite Cloud-based dispatch system.
Quad Cities International Airport (QC Airport) in Moline, Illinois, has announced the deployment of InterTalkTM's EnliteTM Cloud Dispatch system, aiming to enhance its emergency response operations.
Located in the heart of western Illinois and eastern Iowa, QC Airport serves a significant number of passengers and is an International Port of Entry Airport with a 10,000-foot runway. Four major airlines—Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines—operate out of the airport.
The Enlite system, delivered under a cost-efficient "dispatch-as-a-service" model, is designed to streamline emergency-response workflows and improve coordination during critical incidents. One of its key features is the provision of one-touch macros that simplify and speed up dispatch procedures.
The initial installation at QC Airport will include two operator workstations in the control tower. These workstations will integrate multiple radio systems (P25/UHF) and replace legacy emergency communication tools like the crash-phone system, facilitating smoother interoperability between the FAA control tower, airport personnel, and emergency responders.
With the Enlite console installed, QC Airport has streamlined emergency communications, reduced dispatcher workload, and sped up critical response times. The advanced macro capabilities allow dispatchers to trigger complex sequences of emergency actions with a single button press, which accelerates reaction times during critical incidents.
InterTalkTM, an ISO 9001- and 27001-certified company, specializes in dispatch console systems for land mobile radio and advanced telephony applications. The company is committed to scalable, mission-critical solutions for modern public safety environments.
This deployment highlights the growing demand for advanced, cloud-based dispatch technology in aviation. For more information about QC Airport, visit qcairport.com.
