AT&T & Ericsson Launch IoT Marketplace for Simplified Procurement

AT&T and Ericsson have joined forces to launch the AT&T IoT Marketplace, a digital eCommerce platform designed to simplify the procurement of IoT services for businesses. The platform aims to enhance user experience and streamline various processes for businesses across industries.

The AT&T IoT Marketplace is powered by Ericsson's Digital Experience Platform, Catalogue Manager, and Order Care. It addresses common challenges such as complex integrations, fragmented catalogues, and inconsistent order management systems. The platform reduces the time to order fleet management services from hours to minutes, making it a significant improvement for businesses.

The platform features a comprehensive digital catalogue, order management system, and TMF API based integration. It is built on a cloud-native microservices architecture and hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure. This robust structure enables the platform to handle the complexities of IoT services, from selling and contracting to provisioning and billing.

Anand Akundi, Head of Cloud Software and Services in the AT&T Customer Unit at Ericsson, praised the platform's seamless and personalized user experience. Cameron Coursey, vice president of connected solutions at AT&T, described the platform as a differentiator for AT&T's business offerings. The AT&T IoT Marketplace is designed to cater to industries such as transportation, manufacturing, and healthcare, providing a one-stop shop for their IoT service needs.
