Berlin Hosts 'Foldt' Modular Kitchen Exhibition by Innovative Design Trio

Berlin is set to host a unique exhibition of modular kitchens by the innovative design trio Jonas Maria Droste, Simon Stanislawski, and Till Ronacher. Under the name 'foldt', they present their first model, 'ff1', in a temporary showroom in Berlin-Charlottenburg for the next fortnight.

The 'ff1' kitchen, first prototyped in 2017, is now launching after years of development, including during the pandemic. It is made using a mono-material process, with stainless steel sheets precision-cut, punched, and folded to create the distinctive zigzag pattern that gives the brand its name.

The 'ff1' model is made of reflective stainless steel, promising longevity and robustness. The modules are designed to be used individually or in combination, and are usable from all four sides. This flexibility is a key aspect of the designers' vision, who see kitchens as furniture that can accompany us for a lifetime and be reconfigured when moving.

Currently, there are no specific prices or sales locations listed for the 'foldt' modular kitchen furniture. However, the designers plan to expand their product range soon, with all modules made individually and to order in Brandenburg.

The 'foldt' exhibition in Berlin offers a glimpse into a future where kitchens are sustainable, flexible, and built to last. With their innovative design and commitment to longevity, Droste, Stanislawski, and Ronacher are challenging traditional notions of kitchen design.
