Bosch enhances the power of its e-mountain bike model
Bosch eBike Systems, a leading provider in e-bike technology, has announced the introduction of its most powerful drive unit to date - the Performance Line CX-R. Claus Fleischer, CEO of Bosch eBike Systems, declared that this new drive unit is the most powerful in their portfolio.
The Performance Line CX-R is set to revolutionise the e-mountain biking scene, offering up to 750 watts of power and 100 Newton meters of torque. To enhance its performance even further, Bosch eBike Systems is set to release a software upgrade in July 2025, increasing the power to 750 W and 100 Nm.
The first e-MTBs with the Performance Line CX-R will be available from fall 2025. The drive unit, designed for those who don't want to compromise in off-road terrain, provides support of up to 400 percent, ensuring propulsion even on the steepest climbs and in challenging technical terrain.
The new drive unit comes with several exciting features. The Race Mode, exclusive to the CX-R, provides immediate power delivery, extended 'Extended Boost' for obstacles, and extra power for competition-oriented e-mountain bikers. For those seeking a balance between performance and eMTB mode, the new eMTB+-Mode offers progressive, dynamic, and finely dosed power transmission.
Bosch eBike Systems has also introduced a new integrated display, the Kiox 400C. Featuring automatic display adjustment, navigation, and USB-C charging, the Kiox 400C is designed to enhance the rider's experience.
In addition, Bosch has further developed the eBike ABS and ABS Pro, now doing without an external sensor disc on the rear wheel. The M+ for eShift offers automated shifting while rolling for perfect acceleration in any situation.
The company has also developed the new software upgrade function for the popular CX motor, which will be available starting July 2025. Those who can't wait can secure the upgrade for the CX line drive.
