New AMD Graphics Cards: Radeon RX 7400 and Radeon Pro W7400

AMD has just introduced two new graphics cards to their lineup: the Radeon RX 7400 and the Radeon Pro W7400. These cards are based on AMD's RDNA 3 architecture and are built on Navi 33 silicon, sharing similarities with other lower-tier SKUs such as the Radeon RX 7600, RX 7600 XT, and RX 7650 GRE.

The Radeon RX 7400 is designed for budget-conscious gamers, targeting 1080p gaming. It features 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and is expected to be priced in the $150 to $250 range, with indications that it will likely sit below the $200 mark. In comparison, the Radeon Pro W7400 is a more specialized, professional-class GPU. While its price is currently unknown, it is positioned as a more affordable model below the Radeon Pro W7500, which starts at around $425.

The Radeon RX 7400 and Radeon Pro W7400 share many similarities, including a TBP (Typical Board Power) of 55W. However, the Radeon Pro W7400 has a memory speed of 10.6 Gbps, resulting in the same bandwidth as the Radeon RX 7400. The Radeon RX 7400 uses slower GDDR6 memory, clocked at 10.8 Gbps, compared to the 18 Gbps on the Radeon RX 7600.

The Radeon Pro W7400, like the Radeon RX 7400, does not require any external power connectors. It has a half-height form factor with a single-slot design, measuring 6.6 inches (168mm) in length. The Radeon RX 7400 supports DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1. The Radeon Pro W7400 sports four mini DisplayPort 2.1 outputs.

In terms of power consumption, the Radeon Pro W7400's TBP is 21% lower than the Radeon Pro W7500. This, along with its lower memory bandwidth (32% lower than the W7500), positions the W7400 as a more affordable option for professional workstations.

It's worth noting that the Radeon RX 7600 and Radeon Pro W7500 launched at $269 and $429, respectively. This suggests that the new Navi 33 offerings should be more affordable, with the Radeon RX 7400 and Radeon Pro W7400 expected to cater to a wider range of budgets.

However, AMD has not yet revealed the pricing for the Radeon RX 7400 or Radeon Pro W7400. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting new graphics cards.

The introduction of AMD's Radeon RX 7400 and Radeon Pro W7400 signifies a potential shift in the market for budget-friendly gadgets and professional-grade technology, offering opportunities for both gamers and professionals alike. These new graphics cards, powered by AMD's RDNA 3 architecture, are expected to be more affordable than their predecessors, such as the Radeon RX 7600 and Radeon Pro W7500, catering to a wider range of budgets in the realm of technology and gaming.
