Polestar's Innovative In-Car Entertainment System

Polestar, the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, is revolutionising in-car entertainment with its state-of-the-art systems. Let's take a closer look at the features that make Polestar's vehicles stand out.

The centre display in Polestar vehicles is a 15.4-inch, frameless wonder, boasting a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a landscape orientation. This high-resolution screen offers a crystal-clear viewing experience, making it easy to navigate through apps and car functions.

Polestar is committed to keeping its vehicles connected, and the first three years of in-car data are included in the price of a Polestar. This constant internet connection enables features like Google Assistant, allowing drivers to stay connected without distraction. With Google Assistant, drivers can have emails read aloud, reply to text messages, and be reminded of important calendar entries, all without taking their eyes off the road.

Integrating a Polestar into the Google Home ecosystem enables voice commands for various vehicle functions. For instance, you can say, "Hey Google, raise the temperature inside the car and dim the lights at home."

Each Polestar model offers a dedicated display for specific functions. The Polestar 2 features a 12.3" digital driver display, while the Polestar 3 and 4 boast 9" and 10.2" displays, respectively. The head-up display in Polestar vehicles beams important information in front of the driver, such as current speed, speed limit information, and turn-by-turn directions.

Polestar's in-car entertainment system interface is designed to make using apps and car functions more intuitive. The switch between Polestar's menus and Google Play applications is seamless and akin to operating any other kind of tablet. The centre display can be set to landscape or portrait orientation, providing flexibility to suit the driver's preference.

The Google Play store offers a constantly updated selection of in-car apps, including productivity-boosting apps and the ability to join Zoom calls. During charging breaks, you can watch TV shows on Prime Video, listen to music on Tidal, or catch up on podcasts and audiobooks through apps like Sybel, Audible, and Pocket Casts.

Polestar's collaboration with Google, specifically using Google's Android Automotive platform, provides app integration and voice control capabilities. Cerence AI also supports conversational AI features in Polestar vehicles, contributing to intuitive user experiences.

What sets Polestar apart is its commitment to personalisation. The centre display can remember the settings and preferences of up to six drivers, including seating positions, mirror adjustments, and favourite apps and playlists.

Lastly, Polestar's wireless connectivity options are a step ahead of the competition. While the Polestar 2 supports Apple CarPlay with a wired connection, the Polestar 4 offers wireless connection, and Polestar 3's wireless offering is coming soon.

With its innovative in-car entertainment system, Polestar is redefining the driving experience, making it more connected, personalised, and enjoyable.
