Consultation Regarding the Commission on the Subject in Question

In a remarkable turn of events, Austrian bicycle manufacturer, Woom, has announced its strongest quarter yet, selling 124,000 bicycles in Q1 2025. This impressive figure was achieved in a market that is still experiencing a decline, indicating significant growth in market share for the company.

Woom's success can be attributed to its commitment to continuous innovation and successful market introductions. The company, founded in 2013 by bike-enthusiastic fathers Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld, has made a name for itself by producing lightweight, timelessly designed bicycles with high-quality components and geometry adapted to children's needs.

The Q1 2025 results represent a 40% increase in revenue compared to Q1 2024, with the company reporting a revenue of 44 million euros. Woom's growth is not limited to the DACH region, as the business outside these borders is particularly dynamic. Sales have increased by 50% in the Nordic countries, the UK, and Benelux.

Bernd Hake, CEO of Woom, is satisfied with the development of the company. He cites innovation, market and channel diversification, and the team's commitment as the driving factors for success. Kasper Rørsted, Chairman of the Board at Woom, shares this sentiment, stating that the impressive figures confirm the company's strategy and strengthen investor confidence in its growth trajectory.

In the last ten months, Woom has launched five new products, which have been awarded renowned design prizes. These include the woom EXPLORE models, woom GO series, READY children's helmet, POP children's bicycle basket, and woom EXPLORE e. Woom is also planning to enter a new market segment in autumn 2025, offering a product tailored to the needs of toddlers from 9 months.

Woom's success extends beyond Austria's borders, with children and teens riding Woom bikes in over 40 countries, including the USA. The company has expanded its presence in the USA and is now a leading provider of children's and youth bicycles on an international scale.

As Woom continues to set new standards in premium children's bicycles, it is clear that the company has laid the foundations for profitable growth in the coming years, despite challenging market conditions.
