Crunchyroll Launches Manga Service in North America
Crunchyroll, a popular anime streaming service, is expanding its offerings with the launch of Crunchyroll Manga. Starting October 9, users in Canada and the USA can enjoy a wide range of popular manga series on the new platform.
Crunchyroll Manga will be available on both iOS and Android devices through the Crunchyroll Manga app. At launch, the platform will be free of advertisements and pop-ups, providing an uninterrupted reading experience.
The service will not be available as a standalone subscription. Instead, it will be integrated into existing Crunchyroll subscription tiers. Crunchyroll Ultimate Fan tier subscribers will gain access to Crunchyroll Manga for $15.99 per month. Other tiers, such as Crunchyroll Fan and Mega Fan with Manga add-on, will cost $11.99 USD/$15.49 CAD and $15.49 USD/$17.49 CAD respectively.
Crunchyroll has secured manga rights from leading publishers like Square Enix, VIZ Media, and Yen Press. This means popular series such as One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and more will be available on the platform. All Crunchyroll Manga tiers will include unlimited ad-free reading, offline reading, light/dark mode, and personalized recommendations.
The Crunchyroll Manga web reader will launch on October 15, following the app's release on October 9.
The launch of Crunchyroll Manga is set to expand the reading options for anime and manga fans in North America. With a wide range of popular series and features like offline reading, the new platform promises an enhanced manga reading experience.
