Dacia Unveils Affordable Urban EV, the Hipster
Dacia has unveiled the Hipster, an affordable electric vehicle (EV) designed for urban areas. This L7 vehicle boasts a power output of up to 15 kW/20 PS and a top speed of 90 km/h. Notably, it will be significantly cheaper than the successor of the current Dacia Spring, starting at €16,900.
The Hipster, a concept car blending Suzuki Jimny and Land Rover Defender designs, is exempt from certain crash and equipment requirements due to its L7 classification. Despite its affordable price, it offers robust performance with a maximum unladen weight of 450 kg without the battery.
The Hipster is part of Dacia's commitment to making electric vehicles accessible to all. With its power output and top speed, it caters to urban drivers seeking an affordable, eco-friendly option.
The Dacia Hipster, with its blend of affordability, performance, and unique design, is set to make waves in the urban EV market. Its power output, top speed, and weight limits make it an attractive option for city drivers. Though the lead developer's name remains unknown, the Hipster's features speak for themselves.
