Daily spending now offers pay-later alternatives thanks to Billease, with QRPh and Tap-to-Pay features available.
Billease Introduces Everyday Spend Credit Feature for More Flexible and Transparent Credit Experience
Billease, a leading fintech company in the Philippines, has expanded its platform to include an Everyday Spend Credit feature. This expansion is part of the company's efforts to make the credit experience more universal and customer-centric.
According to Georg Steiger, CEO and Co-founder of Billease, this is an expansion of their existing services. He further stated that the goal is to create a credit experience that's as universal as a card but more transparent and customer-centric.
The Everyday Spend Credit feature allows customers to use their credit line for daily purchases via QRPh and NFC tap-and-pay transactions. This means that users can now convert any purchase into manageable monthly instalments at any time before their due date, or opt for the Pay Later function, allowing them to settle their purchases by their next payday with zero interest and zero fees.
Kurt Molina, Head of POS Products at Billease, explained that the update provides users with two flexible repayment options for their spending. He added that the new functions are part of Billease's strategy to provide flexible credit tools that can be integrated into the daily financial activities of consumers in the Philippines.
Billease does not charge conversion or new instalment fees for its services. The company charges interest only on the remaining balance, making it an attractive alternative to traditional credit lines that may require tedious top-ups or have hidden charges.
The company first introduced QRPh support in 2024, enabling customers to use Billease anywhere QRPh is accepted. Over 600,000 merchants nationwide accept the service at terminals that support QRPh or tap-and-pay, making it widely accessible for consumers.
However, the person who introduced QRPh support for the fintech company Billease in 2024 has not been publicly disclosed.
With the Everyday Spend Credit feature, Billease continues to innovate and provide solutions that cater to the needs of modern consumers, offering them a more flexible and transparent credit experience.
