Debut of the Primarily Art Gallery Inside Clubs Marks through Exhibits by Beeple and Mad Dog Jones
In an exciting development, Hï Ibiza, the world's top-ranked nightclub, has launched the world's first permanent art gallery inside a nightclub. Located in the heart of Ibiza, Spain, this innovative space is a collaboration between Hï Ibiza, The Night League (the club's nightlife group), and W1 Curates.
The gallery presents a curated selection of today's most influential digital artists, including Beeple and Mad Dog Jones, alongside physical works by artists such as KidEight, WhIsBe, Annibale Siconolfi, Ash Thorp, and more. British graffiti artist Mr Cenz has created a mural at Hï Ibiza's entrance, and the W1 Curates smartphone app reveals an augmented-reality animation when scanned on Mr Cenz's mural.
The gallery integrates advanced display technology and interactive installations, creating an immersive environment where nightlife intersects with contemporary digital art. The main gallery space, designed by W1 Curates, adapts to each artist's color palette using large-scale projections and immersive lighting. The gallery features AR murals, large-scale sculptures, and mirrored LED gallery walls.
The exhibition encourages guests to explore, pause, and connect with the art beyond the dancefloor. The lineup of artists will rotate every two weeks during the summer season, with some works available for purchase. The gallery launch includes talks by W1 Curates, Seedphrase, Farokh, Smashtoshi, and Trevor Jones, followed by a DJ set in the Wild Corner.
This development underscores Hï Ibiza’s role as a pioneering venue, recognized multiple times as the world’s best club, continually expanding its cultural offerings beyond music and dance to include art and now fashion collaborations, further positioning itself as a multidisciplinary creative hub.
This trend of combining nightlife with digital art is not unique to Hï Ibiza. Other examples include Bright Moments' NFT gallery in Venice, California, and Web3 NYC Gallery’s Genesis NFT exhibition in New York. By embracing digital art, these venues are fostering new revenue streams and audience engagement within the entertainment industry.
Farokh, the president and co-founder of Decrypt's parent company DASTAN, is one of the speakers at the gallery launch. Smashtoshi, a Bitcoin historian and artist, is also part of the lineup.
With this move, Hï Ibiza continues to redefine the nightlife experience, offering its guests a unique blend of art, music, and culture that transcends traditional boundaries.
