Dubai Reaffirms Global Sustainability Lead with WETEX 2025
Dubai has reaffirmed its global leadership in sustainability with the opening of the 27th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX). The event, which runs until October 2, supports the UAE's Net Zero by 2050 initiative and Dubai's Clean Energy and Net Zero Carbon Emissions strategies.
WETEX 2025, organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), features over 3,100 companies from 65 countries. It showcases Dubai's growing influence in shaping solutions to global climate challenges and attracting investments in innovation and sustainability.
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, credited the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for Dubai's strategic role in international events fostering innovation and driving investment. Sheikh Ahmed toured WETEX, where he was briefed on cutting-edge solutions in renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Chairman of WETEX, highlighted the exhibition's role in facilitating public-private partnerships and international cooperation.
WETEX 2025, with its focus on water, energy, and environmental technology, supports the UAE's and Dubai's sustainability goals. It attracts global participation, fostering innovation and investment, and reaffirms Dubai's commitment to leading the way in sustainability.
