Electric vehicle charging stations set for imminent activation in Sternberg
In an effort to support the growth of electric vehicles in Germany, Vattenfall is developing new fast-charging stations in Sternberg and Schäferkamp. These stations, set to be operational by November 2025, are part of Vattenfall's broader initiative to expand fast and ultra-fast charging infrastructure across the country.
One of the upcoming charging stations will be located on the Sternberg parking lot near the Wall, operated by Vattenfall's service, Vattenfall InCharge. This station, a joint venture with energy supplier Vattenfall and supermarket chain Netto, will feature two charging points, with four more charging points currently being built on the Schäferkamp parking lot in Sternberg.
The fast-charging stations at the Sternberg Netto market have been planned, constructed, and will be operated by Vattenfall. They will provide 100% renewable energy for charging, with prices ranging between 56 and 62 cents per kilowatt hour. Users can access these charging points via the Vattenfall app or with the free InCharge charging card.
The charging process at Vattenfall's stations is straightforward: plug in the cable, use the card or app to start and stop, and you're done. The charging points at the Sternberg Netto market will be accessible to all electric vehicle drivers during the normal opening hours of the market after they have been released.
It's worth noting that there are other charging stations in the region, such as those in Schulstraße in Brüel and at the Mühlentor in Warin.
