Elon Musk Launches Grokipedia to Challenge Wikipedia's 'Political Bias'
Tech mogul Elon Musk has taken aim at Wikipedia, accusing it of political bias and lack of objectivity. In response, he's developing an alternative encyclopedia, Grokipedia, through his AI firm xAI.
Musk's criticism comes as no surprise, given his past comments on Wikipedia's left-wing leanings. Now, he's putting his money where his mouth is, creating a rival platform.
Grokipedia, named after Musk's xAI chatbot Grok, is set to be an unbiased source of information. The chatbot, designed to seek the truth, seems to be the inspiration behind Musk's new venture.
The project is currently under development at xAI, but there's no official release date yet. Musk's former associate, David Sacks, who served as the AI czar under President Trump, previously criticized Wikipedia's use in AI training, hinting at the need for an alternative like Grokipedia.
Elon Musk's Grokipedia aims to fill the gap left by Wikipedia, promising an unbiased and objective source of information. While no release date has been announced, the project is underway at xAI, Musk's AI firm. The tech billionaire's former associate, David Sacks, has also shown support for the need of such an alternative.
