EMO Hannover 2025 Showcases Precision Manufacturing Innovations

EMO Hannover 2025, the world's leading trade fair for metalworking, drew around 1,600 exhibitors from 45 countries. They showcased innovations in precision manufacturing, including automation, AI, robotics, and electrochemical metal processing. Key players like Fanuc Europe and EMAG presented their latest products.

Fanuc Europe displayed its industrial robots, while EMAG highlighted its electrochemical metalworking technology for rifle barrels. Meanwhile, Creality launched the Sermoon S1, a professional-grade 3D scanner for precision applications.

At the World Robot Conference in Beijing, Orbbec unveiled the Pulsar ME450, a breakthrough 3D LiDAR sensor. This sensor introduces a new class of metrology-grade sensors with dynamic scanning patterns and adjustable vertical fields of view.

Phase3D's Fringe Inspection is now available for Renishaw 500Q and other 500-series platforms, delivering high-resolution heightmaps for powder bed fusion users. Teledyne DALSA introduced the Z-Trak Express 1K5, a 3D laser profiler for in-line 3D measurement and inspection.

Digital Twins are revolutionising precision engineering and manufacturing by integrating real-time data from the shop floor. Renishaw will launch the NC4+ Blue F100 and F100-10C laser tool setters at EMO Hannover 2025, featuring third-generation technology. They will also showcase smart factory innovations, including a new dual-method gauging system and dedicated gauging software. PI announced the F-690.S1 SpaceFAB, a high-performance 6-axis positioning stage for high-speed precision automation.

3D scanning technology is enabling real-time data acquisition and advanced quality control systems in manufacturing.
