**Tesla Announces Upgrades to Model 3 and Model Y in China**

Tesla, the leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced significant updates to its Model 3 and Model Y lineup in China. Notably, the Long Range (LR) variants of both models have undergone performance and range improvements.

As of July 2025, the **price of the Model 3 Long Range variant** in China has increased by 10,000 yuan, rising from 275,500 yuan to **285,500 yuan**, representing a **3.6% price hike**. This increase accompanies several notable improvements.

The **CLTC range** of the Model 3 LR has extended from 713 km to 753 km, providing a longer driving distance per charge. The **0-100 km/h acceleration time** has reduced from 4.4 seconds to 3.8 seconds, enhancing performance significantly. The previously optional **Acceleration Boost package** is now included as a standard feature for the Model 3 Long Range variant, which likely contributed to the improved acceleration.

Delivery wait times have also been reduced, indicating improved availability and production efficiency. The wait time for the Model 3 RWD version is now 1-3 weeks, while the performance version has a wait time of 8-10 weeks.

The Model Y Long Range has also seen improvements, with its CLTC range increasing to 750 km. The Model Y RWD variant offers 593 km of range. The Model Y Long Range's acceleration time remains 4.3 seconds.

Interestingly, the price of the Model Y Long Range has not experienced a price increase. The Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) version continues at RMB 235,500, while the performance version remains priced at RMB 339,500.

Tesla continues to offer purchase incentives in China, including discounts, insurance subsidies, and interest-free financing on select models. These incentives aim to make electric vehicles more accessible to a wider audience.
