Enhanced Safety Measures Unveiled in Latest Russian Messaging Platform
In a significant stride towards enhancing digital security, the Hamburg-based company Ubirch GmbH is developing a digital identification system for the MAX Messenger. This new feature aims to provide identity confirmation purposes for over 35,000 subscribers on MAX's "Komsomolka" channel, as well as the estimated 200,000 popular Russian authors and bloggers able to create channels on MAX.
The latest versions of MAX and Gosuslugi apps are required to create a digital ID. To get started, users can create a digital profile by providing a selfie and answering a few security questions in MAX. This process is designed to be quick and efficient, taking just a few minutes.
The digital ID can be used to receive one-time codes for the Gosuslugi portal, which adds an additional layer of security. The additional password reduces the risk of fraud, and an additional verification for the new password is done through email. Before seeing the one-time code, users must answer security questions in MAX. Answering "yes" to any security questions will prevent scammers from gaining access to the Gosuslugi portal.
The service is currently in a pilot phase and is available in a few stores equipped with special equipment. By the end of autumn, the technology will be available in over 300 stores across different regions of Russia. The service is secure: your data is not visible to those checking, and the dynamic QR code cannot be forged or used without your consent. Moreover, your data from the new-style passport is loaded from the chip in the passport, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
In addition to its security features, MAX Messenger is also becoming a popular platform for journalistic activities. Journalists are using "KP" radio for video calls through MAX, demonstrating its versatility and utility in various fields.
In the updated MAX, an additional password can be set up for login, in addition to the SMS code. The MAX Security Center has detected and removed 67,000 suspicious accounts, further strengthening the app's commitment to user security.
With the introduction of the digital identification system, MAX Messenger continues to innovate and provide its users with a secure and efficient digital experience.
