Enhanced Speed for Tesla Model 3: Breakdown of the Costs Involved
Tesla Introduces Acceleration Boost for New Model 3 Long Range AWD
Tesla has announced the introduction of an optional Acceleration Boost upgrade for the new Model 3 Long Range AWD, also known as the Highland. This all-wheel drive, long range variant of the popular Model 3 is available in select regions.
The Acceleration Boost upgrade, much anticipated by fans, is currently available in Australia, China, Taiwan, and other select regions. In Australia, the upgrade costs $3000 AUD, approximately $1,948 USD. In China, the cost is ¥14,100, approximately $1,946 USD. The cost may vary by location.
The upgrade significantly improves the vehicle's performance. It reduces the 0-100 km/h acceleration time from 4.4 seconds to 3.8 seconds. However, it's important to note that the Acceleration Boost does not offer Track Mode, unlike the Performance Model 3.
To activate the Acceleration Boost feature, vehicles must be updated to Tesla's software version 2024.20. Tesla has not yet specified the countries where the upgrade is unavailable, but it is expected to launch in North America and Europe soon.
The new Model 3 Long Range AWD (Highland) is a variant of the Model 3, offering all-wheel drive and long range capabilities. This makes it an attractive option for customers seeking a more powerful and efficient vehicle.
With the Acceleration Boost upgrade, Tesla stands to gain some valuable in-app upgrades from customers towards its fourth quarter. As always, Tesla continues to innovate and push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology.
