Built with hygroscopic discs kinda like what you find in the soil, the Acqua Vision discs absorb rainwater like a champ and mimic the soil's moisture level. When it's wet like that, it signals the system to knock off any scheduled irrigation for the day. Smart milk, eh?
To shut off the irrigation system, it sends a Bluetooth 5.0 signal to the central unit. Doesn't work if there's a wall between the buddy and the unit though, so make sure to place it outdoors, but close enough to avoid major obstacles. On the other hand, don't put it in the well or under shelters like canopies or terraces.
