Uluuscherga, a small village nestled in the Shebalinsky District, has undergone a significant transformation, thanks to the installation of modern telecom equipment by Megafon as part of the state program "Discount for Spectrum."

This installation has brought digital services to the village, enabling residents to enjoy speeds of up to 50 Mbps. The village now boasts a kindergarten, school, village club, medical aid station, and a store, all equipped with digital services.

The state program "Discount for Spectrum" has played a crucial role in the development of communication infrastructure in Uluuscherga. The program has provided subsidies or discounts for acquiring and deploying telecommunications spectrum, enabling service providers like Megafon to extend mobile and internet coverage in the region.

Uluuscherga's newfound connectivity offers a range of benefits. Residents can now enjoy more reliable mobile phone coverage and internet access, facilitating communication within the community and with the outside world. The improved connectivity also supports access to online education, telemedicine, government services, and e-commerce, crucial for remote areas where physical access to such services is limited.

The installation of modern telecom equipment has also helped specialists and workers increase their efficiency and service quality. In addition, local businesses can now reach broader markets, supporting tourism promotion in the Altai Republic and allowing residents to engage in remote work or digital entrepreneurship.

The cooperation between Megafon and local authorities has integrated Uluuscherga into the digital space, improving the quality of life for its residents. Since the beginning of the year, Megafon has built and modernized more than 10 base stations in the region, improving the key characteristics of their services.

Villagers no longer need to leave home to order a certificate, get permits, or make a doctor's appointment, as these services are now available online. The village's proximity to unique historical and cultural monuments, including kurgan burial mounds and the Kuldyukskaya Ice Cave, can now be explored more easily through digital platforms.

Maria Zanko, Director of Megafon in the Altai Krai and the Altai Republic, emphasized these improvements as real opportunities for growth and development for every resident of the region. Sergey Alymov, Minister of Digital Development of the Altai Republic, highlighted the importance of these digital services in rural areas.

In summary, the "Discount for Spectrum" program has been instrumental in reducing digital isolation in Uluuscherga by making spectrum more affordable and accessible for telecom providers, thereby improving infrastructure and positively impacting residents’ quality of life through better communication and access to essential services.
