Explore the creators and publishers you value on the Discover platform
Facebook has rolled out an exciting update to its mobile app, introducing a new feature called Discover. This innovative tool aims to provide a centralized location for users to access content from their favourite voices and publishers.
With Discover, users can now enjoy a mix of various types of content, including articles, videos, and social posts, all in one place. The content in Discover is posted wherever the publishers and creators post it originally, ensuring a diverse and authentic feed.
To make Discover more helpful, Facebook has added the ability to choose preferred news sources in Top Stories. This feature allows users to customize their Discover feed by following specific publishers and creators.
Starting today, users can personalize Discover with more content from their favourite publishers and creators. A new, dedicated space for a publisher or creator's content has been added to Discover, making it easier for users to keep up with various types of content from their favourite sources.
In the coming weeks, Discover will include content from publishers and creators across the web, such as posts from X, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. Facebook is focused on helping publishers and creators connect with their audiences in Search, and they will continue to add more ways for people to connect directly with their favourite publishers and creators in Discover.
However, in the upcoming weeks, besides X (formerly Twitter), no specific additional platforms have been publicly announced to be added to Discover. While search results provide detailed information about X's developments, they do not indicate other platforms being added to Discover in the near term.
Users can preview a publisher or creator's content before following, including articles, YouTube videos, and posts from social channels. Once they decide to follow, users can do so directly on Discover to see more of their favourite content.
To try out the new personalization features in Discover, users must be signed into their Facebook account. As Facebook continues to enhance Discover, more platforms will be added in the future, promising an even more enriching content exploration experience for users.
