F/LIST Unveils Lightshifter: Wood Veneer Transforms into Dynamic Lighting Displays
F/LIST has introduced an innovative concept called Lightshifter, which transforms wood veneer surfaces into dynamic lighting displays. The product was unveiled at the Red Cabin Business Jet and VIP Interior Conference Innovation Summit in Vienna. While the developer's name remains unknown, the company's Director of Research & Development, Patrick Domnanich, anticipates strong customer interest in its infinite possibilities.
The Lightshifter was born out of customer requests for minimal-interaction products that transform flat surfaces into dramatic backgrounds. Managing Director Michael Mueller explains that it enhances the cabin environment without adding bulk or hardware. The concept, developed in F/LIST's internal incubator F/LAB, integrates illumination technology into wood veneer surfaces, creating vivid light installations and complementing branding or customer preferences.
The Lightshifter works in harmony with F/LIST's extensive wood veneer portfolio and is expected to appeal to airlines, OEMs, and completion centers. Its function can be controlled through the cabin management system, allowing flight attendants or crew to operate it with ease.
F/LIST's Lightshifter offers a novel way to enhance cabin environments, providing lighting, creating installations, and complementing branding or preferences. With its minimal bulk and easy operation, it is set to attract customers seeking innovative interior design concepts.
