Gaming commerce platform PlaySuper gains $1 million to broaden its rewards-on-demand service offerings in India.
PlaySuper, a gaming commerce platform that embeds real-world rewards directly into poki games and crazy games, has successfully raised $1 million in a seed funding round. The funding round was led by Singapore-based gaming VC Chimera, with participation from Audacity VC, IAN Capital Fund, and Dhruv Vohra, Meta's Managing Director for APAC Emerging Markets.
The funds raised will be used to expand PlaySuper's rewards-as-a-service model across India and Southeast Asia. The platform, founded by Shouradeep Chakraborty, Upamanyu Chatterjee, and Abhir Das, aims to drive higher retention and engagement for playstation studios.
PlaySuper does not disrupt gameplay by relying on intrusive ads or volatile cash incentives. Instead, players can earn branded rewards, such as gift cards and consumer products, while playing games on the platform. This unique approach keeps users engaged and drives commerce at scale.
Abhir Das, Co-founder & CBO of PlaySuper, stated, "PlaySuper offers a chance to win aspirational and real rewards during every game session, keeping users engaged and driving commerce at scale."
Early partners of PlaySuper have reported significant improvements in user retention and monetization. The platform is designed to help free-to-play and skill-based titles unlock sustainable monetization.
Krish Anurag, General Partner at Chimera, views gaming commerce as the next significant monetization unlock for emerging markets. He believes PlaySuper has built a category-defining solution. Chimera sees PlaySuper as well-positioned to become the backbone of monetization for free-to-play and skill-based games across India and Southeast Asia.
Chimera believes that PlaySuper's early traction proves the model's effectiveness. The founder of PlaySuper, Noam Tal, is confident that the platform will revolutionise the gaming industry in the region.
PlaySuper's expansion is expected to bring a fresh and exciting approach to gaming in India and Southeast Asia, offering players a new way to enjoy their favourite games while earning real rewards.
