In a significant move, global leader in digital business and technology services, NTT DATA, has announced a partnership with Google Cloud. The collaboration aims to accelerate AI-powered cloud innovations and deliver industry-specific, scalable enterprise solutions.
The key focus areas of this partnership center on agentic AI and cloud-native modernization, development of verticalized AI solutions, and leveraging NTT DATA’s proven frameworks and best practices along with Google Cloud’s AI, analytics, and cloud technologies.
Driving Digital Transformation Across Industries
The partnership emphasizes the development of AI solutions tailored for sectors such as banking, insurance, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, life sciences, public sector, and hospitality. NTT DATA will leverage Google Cloud’s advanced technologies, including Google Agentspace and Gemini models, to create customized, scalable solutions.
Focus on Regulated and Data-Intensive Industries
The collaboration will also focus on solutions that include sovereign cloud delivery using Google Distributed Cloud. This will enable airgapped and compliant deployments for data residency and regulatory requirements in regulated and data-intensive industries.
Joint Investments for Seamless Adoption
NTT DATA and Google Cloud will make significant joint go-to-market investments to support seamless adoption in key global markets. Practical application examples include NTT DATA’s Regla platform for financial regulatory compliance and reporting, and a Virtual Travel Concierge in hospitality offering 24/7 multilingual support and real-time itinerary planning powered by Google’s AI models.
Building a Dedicated Google Cloud Business Group
The partnership also builds a dedicated Google Cloud Business Group within NTT DATA, aiming to certify thousands of practitioners to accelerate delivery, migrations, and managed services. The stack spans AI-driven application modernization, cybersecurity, SAP modernization, and more.
A Boost for Cloud Transformation
According to Gartner®, worldwide end-user spending on public cloud services is forecast to reach $723 billion in 2025, up from $595.7 billion in 2024. This partnership is expected to strengthen next-generation application and security modernization through mainframe modernization, DevOps, observability, API management, cybersecurity frameworks, and SAP on Google Cloud.
With this partnership, NTT DATA aims to certify 5,000 engineers in Google Cloud technology, further reinforcing its role as a leader in cloud transformation on a global scale. The Google Distributed Cloud sandbox environment will be used as a digital playground for developers to build, test, and deploy industry-specific and sovereign cloud deployments.
