Google has introduced a new feature in Google Ads, simplifying the process of linking Google Analytics properties. Announced on September 24, 2025, the one-click linking recommendation appears directly in the Campaigns page of the Google Ads console.

The recommendation system automatically generates suggestions based on an account's performance history, campaign settings, and trends across Google's platform. It identifies unlinked Google Analytics properties and enables a simplified one-click linking process, replacing the previous complex procedure that required navigating multiple administrative interfaces.

The Recommendations page serves as a centralized location for customized proposals aimed at improving campaign performance. Google studies show that integrating Google Ads and Google Analytics for multi-channel advertising significantly increases conversion efficiency and reduces cost per conversion. This integration allows advertisers to track and optimize campaigns more effectively, improving ROI and lowering expenses per acquisition. Linked Google Ads or Google Marketing Platform accounts to a Google Analytics property correlate with a 23% increase in conversions and a 10% reduction in cost per conversion.

The new recommendation feature falls within Google Ads' broader recommendations framework, helping advertisers improve their campaigns. Eligibility for the recommendation depends on specific permission requirements, ensuring only users with the authority to complete the linking process see the suggestion. Users with edit permissions on both their Ads account and Analytics property can access and implement the recommendation, further streamlining the process.
