Guide on Unlinking a Payment Method from Google Play Store
If you're looking to update or manage your payment methods on Google Play, there are a few steps you need to follow. While you can add a new payment method within the Google Play app, editing an existing one requires a visit to the Google Play website.
Updating Payment Methods within the Google Play App
- Open the Google Play app on your Android device.
- Tap the profile icon located at the top right corner.
- Select 'Payments & subscriptions' from the menu.
- Choose 'Payment methods'.
Here, you can add a new payment method, but you cannot directly edit an existing one within the app.
Editing Existing Payment Methods on Google Play Website
To edit your payment methods, you'll need to access the Google Play website. Here's how:
- Visit the Google Play website on your device's browser.
- Sign in to your Google account if prompted.
- Tap the hamburger menu located at the top left corner.
- Select 'Payment methods' from the menu.
