Hacker accesses Telegram platform: Durov guarantees unrestricted usage for all users
Telegram and Elon Musk's xAI have formed a partnership to integrate the AI chatbot, Grok, into the messaging platform. According to Telegram founder Pavel Durov, this partnership will span one year, making Grok accessible to all Telegram's over one billion monthly active users.
Grok's integration will allow users to interact with it directly within Telegram, utilizing its capabilities for general knowledge queries, document summarization, and writing suggestions. Channel administrators will also benefit from a new "suggestions" interface, designed to facilitate easier communication with their users.
The partnership carries financial benefits for Durov's company, with xAI providing $300 million in cash and equity, as well as half of the revenue generated by Grok subscription sales made through the Telegram app.

Users can expect an array of improvements to their experience, as Grok's real-time AI assistance will cater to a wide range of tasks. These enhancements are scheduled to roll out to Telegram users by the summer of 2025.
Additional features planned for the updated Telegram include the ability for users to trim voice messages before sending them and choose the quality of photos they send to their contacts.
