Headphones Market Might Be Disrupted with Nothing's Entry
High Priced Discovery: Uncertainty Surrounds Nothing Headphone (1)'s Cost
Looks like the headphones industry is about to get a shake-up. According to leaks, the Nothing's first wireless over-ears, dubbed the Nothing Headphone (1), will set you back £299 / $309 / €299, establishing it in a new price category.
Nothing's conquered the tech world with its affordable products, but it seems like they're aiming higher this time. Their latest devices, including the Nothing Phone (3) and the Headphone (1), are tipped to be more premium and pricier than their predecessors.
Rumors suggest that the Headphone (1) is headed straight for the battlefield alongside the best headphones available today, such as the Bose QuietComfort and the Sony WH-1000XM5. If the leaked price is true, it'll be competing at the same price point as these high-end ANC over-ears.
Sony released the WH-1000XM6 at an even higher price point, but the XM5s are still up for grabs in the same price range (and trust us, they're stellar).
While it might seem like an unusual move from the budget-friendly brand, it could be that they're going after the AirPods Max and the Sonos Ace market instead. If that's the case, it's definitely worth the investment.
With only a couple more weeks till the official reveal, we'll soon find out just how much tech Nothing has crammed into these headphones and whether the price is justified. Sign up to our newsletter to stay updated on all things tech, home, and active for smarter living straight in your inbox!
