Highlighting JCM Global's Milestones: 7 Decades of Pioneering Progress in Payment Technology Advancement
Headliner: JCM Global: Pioneering Transaction and Payment Technology for 7 Decades
Industry veteran Dave Kubajak, Senior Vice-President of Sales, Marketing, and Operations at JCM Global, reflects on the company's 70-year journey, during which it has become an unstoppable force in the gaming industry.
Established in 1955 as Japan Cash Machine, JCM Global has come a long way from its humble beginnings, selling and repairing cash registers. This groundbreaking firm has spent seven decades advancing transaction and payment technology.
According to Kubajak, our fearless leader, "JCM Global has no intention of being a follower and never will be. We absolutely blaze the trail and others follow us.1" It takes clever leadership and an exceptional organization to transform a business from a cash register retailer to a global trailblazer in the tech world.
Fast-forwarding through time, it's clear that JCM's founders were driven innovators, always looking for new ways to bring technology to the market and adapt existing technologies to introduce fresh applications.2 Kubajak believes that JCM has always focused on the future, concentrating on the needs of potential clients and bringing something new to the market, leaving other companies scrambling to catch up.2
Throughout its existence, JCM has shown a commitment to technology and applying it in inventive ways to address pressing customer needs.2 For instance, in 2000, when casinos were still adjusting to TITO (Ticket-In/Ticket-Out) technology, JCM was already at work, developing an industry-standard barcode ticket specification that allowed for the seamless introduction of this modern marvel across the gaming industry.3
Another groundbreaking example from JCM's history is the iVIZION, a high-resolution digital imaging system that debuted in 2010. This technology enabled advanced image recognition to determine the authenticity of notes and tickets, combat counterfeit issues, and enhance security.4
In 2021, JCM received the G&L Innovation Award, reflecting its pioneering role in resolving industry challenges through creative thinking.5 Marking 70 years in the industry, JCM Global remains the industry leader in transaction management, consistently bringing modern technologies and innovations to the gaming floor.
