Hyundai Unveils 2026 Sonata 'The Edge' in Korea
Hyundai Motor Company has unveiled the 2026 Hyundai Sonata 'The Edge' in the Korean market, with full sales commencing on October 4, 2025. The new model offers a range of trims with enhanced features and customization options, priced approximately between $23,000 and $35,000 USD, and €20,000 to €30,000 EUR, including a 3.5% individual consumption tax benefit.
The 2026 Hyundai Sonata 'The Edge' introduces a new S trim, which comes standard with a 12.3-inch digital cluster, navigation, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, Highway Driving Assist, front ventilated seats, and dual full automatic air conditioning. The Inspiration trim now features Nappa leather seats and metal pedals as standard. The Exclusive trim gains advanced driver-assistance systems such as remote smart parking assist, surround view monitor, blind-spot view monitor, side parking distance warning, and rear parking collision-avoidance assist. Meanwhile, the Premium trim now includes forward collision-avoidance assist, smart cruise control, ECM room mirror, and trunk lid lighting as standard. To celebrate the Sonata's 40th anniversary, a special 'Hyundai Sonata 40th Anniversary' theme is available, showcasing iconic Hyundai Sonata models from previous generations. Owners can also purchase and download custom display themes for their digital cluster and infotainment system through the Bluelink Store, expanding digital personalization options.
