Instagram Map Launches in Pakistan, Boosting Location-Based Discovery and Safety Features
Meta has introduced Instagram Maps in Pakistan, enabling users to explore content and connect with friends based on location. The feature, accessible at the top of users' DM inboxes, offers a new way to discover and engage with the platform.
Instagram Maps, rolled out on October 4th, allows users to share their location and view content tagged with specific locations. Initially, profile photos were visible on the map, but Meta has since removed them for privacy reasons. Users can control who sees their location, with sharing turned off by default.
Parents can now supervise their teens' activity on Instagram, managing their children's sharing preferences. This update aims to enhance user safety and control over their online presence.
Instagram Maps' launch in Pakistan brings new interactive features to users. With improved privacy settings and parental supervision tools, Meta continues to adapt the platform to meet users' evolving needs.
