IntelliTech and SelectTeam Join Forces to Offer AI-Enhanced, Feedback-Controlled Automation for Network and Infrastructure Management Operations

In the dynamic world of network operations, infrastructure teams are grappling with growing complexity, a deluge of noisy alerts, and a widening skills gap. This situation often results in prolonged response times, increased risks, and the consumption of valuable engineering hours. However, a strategic partnership between Itential and Selector aims to revolutionise this landscape.

At Cisco Live San Diego, the integrated solution between Itential and Selector was showcased live, demonstrating how it enhances closed-loop network operations. The collaboration combines Selector’s AI-driven event detection with Itential’s network orchestration capabilities through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server.

Selector uses AI models to identify critical network events such as interface failures or configuration drifts. These insights are then passed to Itential for validation and response. This partnership enables automated policy validation and remediation, accelerating issue resolution while ensuring compliance and auditability.

Itential leverages the MCP Server as a universal translator to connect various AI or large language models (LLMs) like GPT or Gemini with network orchestration workflows. This integration supports fully automated workflows that not only detect and analyse network issues but can trigger corrective actions, such as updating configurations or creating service tickets (e.g., in ServiceNow), thereby closing the operational loop without manual intervention.

The partnership also emphasises security and governance, discussing best practices such as securing AI-driven network actions using role-based access control (RBAC) and audit trails to maintain governance and prevent unauthorised automation.

Use cases highlighted during industry events illustrate deploying this partnership for enhanced network reliability and real-time compliance in production environments. It is particularly useful for integrating AIOps with existing network toolchains and rapidly scaling automation up to 100X faster.

Peter Sprygada, Chief Architect of Itential, stated that the partnership of AI-powered observability and intelligent orchestration is a game changer for modern infrastructure teams. Kannan Kothandaraman, CEO and Co-Founder of Selector, echoed this sentiment, stating that the partnership is a big step forward for infrastructure teams, enabling them to move faster, cut through the noise, and finally close the loop between detection and resolution.

Both Itential and Selector will have booths in the World of Solutions at Cisco Live San Diego, and attendees are invited to see a joint demo. A webinar about the joint solution is upcoming and can be registered for. More information about the joint solution can be found on the Itential website (www.itential.com/tech-partners/selector-ai) and the Selector website (www.selector.ai).

With the Itential + Selector integration, AI-driven, fully automated, closed-loop workflows are now possible across a range of everyday use cases, including automated port resets, compliance remediation, and service degradation resolution. The "Close the Loop" scavenger hunt is also available at Cisco Live San Diego, and attendees can enter to win prizes, including an LG TV on the Go.

In summary, the Itential-Selector partnership delivers a powerful AI-powered closed-loop network automation solution that enables proactive detection, automated validation, and real-time remediation of network issues, improving operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and enhancing security and compliance throughout network operations.
