To ensure a smooth update process, Apple advises users to have sufficient storage and a stable Wi-Fi connection before downloading and installing iOS 26. The update can be downloaded through Settings > General > Software Update.
Please note that while iOS 26 is compatible with a wide range of iPhone models, including the iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, and iPhone 16 series, as well as the iPhone SE (2nd generation) and later, some older models such as the iPhone XS (Max) and XR are no longer supported. For iPad users, iPadOS 26 supports models with at least the A12 chip or newer, including the iPad Pro 11" (1st generation) and later, iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 8th generation, and iPad mini 5th generation and later.
