iPh0n3 USB-C Case Brings Modern Connectivity to Older iPhones
Swiss engineer Ken Pillonel has designed an innovative iPhone case that brings USB-C connectivity to older iPhones with Lightning ports. The iPh0n3 USB-C case is available for 20 models, from the iPhone XR to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and can be ordered from the Obsoless store for 49.90 CHF (~$63) with US shipping under $10.
The case supports wireless and MagSafe charging for compatible iPhones. It offers fast charging at 9V, data transfers, and Apple CarPlay compatibility. A lanyard loop can be added for an additional 1 CHF (~$1.50).
Currently, stock is limited to a few iPhone models, with the first two batches sold out. The third batch is expected to arrive mid-September. More colors will be available then, including pink, blue, green, and white. The USB-C port is conveniently placed in the bottom right corner for landscape use. However, it does not support powering external devices via the USB-C port.
The iPh0n3 USB-C case is a practical solution for those seeking to upgrade their older iPhones with USB-C connectivity. With its fast charging, data transfer, and Apple CarPlay compatibility, it's a versatile accessory. Keep an eye out for the next batch and additional color options in September.
