"iPhone connection issue with LADA Iskra multimedia addressed by AutoVAZ"
In an effort to improve user experience and safety, AVTOVAZ, the manufacturer of Lada vehicles, is actively working on expanding the voice control features of Lada Connect. This includes control over windows, trunk, and lights, with the main goal of minimising driver interaction with their phones.
Artem Bakhrakh, the digital services project director at AVTOVAZ, has stated that the wired iPhone connection issues in the Lada Spark are dependent on the quality of the cable. To address this issue, the updated Lada Connect app in Lada Spark has been enhanced to improve Bluetooth stability and integrate better with Apple devices.
For iPhone users experiencing connectivity problems, AVTOVAZ offers several potential solutions: ensure the iPhone’s iOS is updated to the latest version, enable Bluetooth and Location Services with necessary permissions granted to the app, restart both the iPhone and the vehicle system, reinstall or update the Lada Connect app, use the in-app diagnostics tool to identify and fix connectivity problems, and contact AVTOVAZ support if issues persist.
The updated Lada Connect app connects cars to a cloud platform via a built-in SIM card, enabling constant internet connection. This connection enables online navigation with traffic, over-the-air updates, "Yandex Music" streaming, and voice assistant functionality.
Registration in the app and vehicle linking are required for the operation of the service. The features of Lada Connect are included in the multimedia system package for three years without additional charge.
In addition to the voice control expansion, the remote engine start feature will be gradually expanded across the model range, starting next year. Users can also remotely monitor their car's status, including mileage, location, routes, range, and service data.
The rollout of these updates marks a significant step forward in AVTOVAZ's commitment to providing smart and connected vehicles that prioritise safety and convenience for its customers. For the most precise and updated guidance, checking AVTOVAZ official communications or the latest app release notes is recommended.
