Japan Warns of Surge in Lithium-Ion Battery Incidents

Over the past five years, Japan has seen a surge in lithium-ion battery incidents, with a staggering 2,350 cases reported. The Japanese government has issued warnings about the risks associated with these batteries, particularly those of the Samsung brand.

The majority of these incidents involved smartphones, with electric bikes and mobile batteries also posing significant risks. In some cases, users have suffered burns due to battery issues, notably from wireless earphones and smartwatches.
