Judith Fiala Joins WienIT as Second Managing Director Post-Maternity Leave

Judith Fiala (41), a seasoned executive with a background in law and economics, will join WienIT as its second managing director. She will oversee financial management, controlling, legal affairs, and procurement, complementing Gerald Stoeckl's technical and operational responsibilities. Fiala will assume this role after her maternity leave, which began in June 2025.

Fiala's impressive track record includes a successful turnaround as managing director of Wiener Lokalbahnen Cargo GmbH (WLC) from 2023. She improved production quality, efficiency, and profitability, and drove digitalization. Prior to this, she held various management roles in the Rail Cargo Group (ÖBB), including head of a business unit and board membership. Fiala began her career as chief of staff to SPO deputy Joerg Leichtfried in the European Parliament. She holds a law degree and an executive management education from St. Gallen Business School, focusing on finance, strategy, and leadership.

Fiala's appointment brings a wealth of experience and complementary skills to WienIT. Her background in law and economics will strengthen the company's management team, working alongside Gerald Stoeckl. After her maternity leave, Fiala will play a crucial role in driving WienIT's strategic and financial success.
