Kazakhstan's Agro-Industrial Complex Booms, Seeks 6,500 More Staff
Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex is experiencing significant growth and transformation. The sector employs around 1 million people across 285,5 thousand producers and is seeking 6,5 thousand more personnel, including 3,5 thousand qualified specialists. The government's agriculture policy prioritises expansion and modernisation.
In the first quarter of 2025, labor productivity in the sector grew by 10.6%. By the end of 2024, productivity reached around 5 million tenge per employee, a 16% increase from the previous year. The demand for qualified agriculture specialists is high, with experts in agricultural landscapes, sustainable land use, and data science being particularly sought after. These specialists can help drive the sector's transformation and ensure its sustainability.
The Kazakh agro-industrial complex is on track for continued growth and modernisation, with a focus on increasing labor productivity and attracting highly qualified agriculture specialists. The sector's expansion in organised agricultural formations and the introduction of modern technologies are key priorities for the government's agriculture policy.
