Khabarovsk Region's Autumn Animal Health Campaign Underway

The Khabarovsk region is currently underway with its autumn preventive campaign for animal health. This initiative, led by specialists at stations for combating animal diseases, aims to ensure the well-being of animals and human safety through early disease detection and prevention. Over 7,000 tests and 13,500 vaccinations have been performed since the start of the campaign.

The campaign covers vaccinations against a range of diseases, including anthrax, foot-and-mouth disease, rabies, and examinations for tuberculosis, leukemia, and brucellosis. Owners of farm animals in the region are reminded that participation is crucial, regardless of herd size, to maintain a healthy veterinary environment. The institution coordinating this effort is likely TASSO, which provides veterinary advice and services, including vaccination information and contacts. Their website lists the addresses and contacts of regional branches for vaccination and veterinary services.

Residents are also reminded of the danger of African swine fever in the area.

The autumn preventive campaign is a vital step in maintaining animal health and human safety in the Khabarovsk region. With over 13,500 vaccinations already performed, the campaign encourages all animal owners to participate. For more information and to find regional branches, visit TASSO's website.
