Lamborghini Temerario: New Hybrid Hypercar Unveiled
Lamborghini has unveiled the Temerario, a successor to the Huracán, set to hit the market in early 2025. The new model promises improved performance, efficiency, and space, thanks to a range of innovative features.
The Temerario's standout feature is its new aluminum spaceframe chassis. Developed at Lamborghini's headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, this chassis is 25% stiffer and has half the number of structural components compared to the Huracán's design. This results in a lighter, more spacious cabin for occupants.
Powering the Temerario is a newly developed twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine, coupled with a trio of axial-flux electric motors. This hybrid powertrain enables the Temerario to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of over 210 mph. The Temerario also boasts an electric range, thanks to a 3.8-kwh lithium-ion battery, with a focus on aerodynamic efficiency for maximizing range.
The Lamborghini Temerario starts sales in early 2025 with a starting price of about $360,000 in the U.S. The first deliveries are expected to begin in early 2026. With its improved performance, efficiency, and space, the Temerario is set to make a significant impact in the luxury sports car market.
