Launch of Oppo Reno 14 Pro, Reno 14, and Pad SE in India: Explore Pricing, Features, and Accessibility
In a recent announcement, Oppo has introduced the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro 5G, two smartphones that share several premium features but differ in display size, processor, camera capabilities, battery, and additional functionalities.
The Oppo Reno 14 comes with a 6.59-inch LTPS AMOLED flexible screen, a 1.5K resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. On the other hand, the Reno 14 Pro 5G boasts a larger 6.83-inch LTPS OLED flexible display, a 1.5K resolution (1272×2800 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 450 PPI, with a peak brightness of 1200 nits and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Under the hood, the Reno 14 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, while the Reno 14 Pro 5G is driven by the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8450 (4nm process).
In terms of battery, the Reno 14 is backed by a 6,000mAh battery and 80W wired fast charging, while the Reno 14 Pro 5G offers a larger 6,200mAh battery with 80W wired SuperVOOC charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging.
The camera department sees a significant difference between the two models. The Reno 14 sports a dual rear camera setup, although the specifics are less elaborate. In contrast, the Reno 14 Pro 5G boasts an advanced triple camera system with 4K 60fps video on all cameras, including the front camera, OIS, dual EIS, upgraded AI triple flash system, and underwater photography mode.
Both models run the latest ColorOS 15.0 (based on Android 15), with AI-powered features like AI Unblur, AI Recompose. However, the Reno 14 Pro 5G benefits from Google Gemini support and enhanced AI features for photography and calls.
In terms of build, both devices offer dual nano-SIM + eSIM, 5G/4G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, IP66, IP68, IP69 rated, stereo speakers, and in-display fingerprint scanner. The Reno 14 Pro 5G is slightly heavier (201g) and comes in Titanium Grey and Pearl White, while the regular Reno 14's colour options are yet to be announced.
The Reno 14 Pro 5G offers wireless charging support, a flexible AMOLED screen, glove touch functionality, and splash resistance, features not found in the regular Reno 14.
Pricing for the Reno 14 starts at Rs 37,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, with the top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at Rs 39,999. The Reno 14 Pro 5G's price starts at Rs 49,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, with the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant priced at Rs 54,999.
Meanwhile, the Oppo Pad SE, another device launched by Oppo, is TÜV Rheinland certified and offers a reflection-free, paper-like display with low blue light and no flicker. Priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant, Rs 15,999 for the 6GB+128GB LTE variant, and Rs 16,999 for the 8GB+128GB LTE variant, the Oppo Pad SE features an 11-inch Eye-Care LCD panel with up to 500 nits brightness and an anti-reflective matte coating.
