Leapmotor, a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup, is on a remarkable growth trajectory. The company has set an ambitious sales target of 580,000 to 650,000 vehicles for 2025, having delivered approximately 221,664 vehicles in the first half of the year. This represents about 44-45% progress toward this goal [1][2][3].

In a significant milestone, Leapmotor reached 900,000 cumulative deliveries as of mid-2025, and broke a record by selling over 50,000 vehicles in July alone [2][3][5]. This marks the first time the company has exceeded 50,000 vehicles in a single month.

Financially, Leapmotor posted its first-ever semi-annual net profit of about 30 million yuan (around 4.17-4.2 million USD) in H1 2025, marking a turnaround from a substantial net loss the previous year [2][3][5]. This profitability milestone places Leapmotor as only the second Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) startup to achieve half-year profitability, alongside Li Auto [2][3].

The company's revenue surged by approximately 174% year-over-year for the first half of 2025, driven by strong vehicle deliveries, spare parts sales, strategic collaborations, carbon credit trading, and service income [2].

Looking beyond 2025, Leapmotor aims to achieve annual sales of 1 million vehicles in 2026, signalling continued aggressive growth and expansion, including a consistent overseas sales target of 50,000 to 80,000 units for 2025 [2][3].

Key factors contributing to Leapmotor's rising sales and profitability include competitive pricing enabled by around 70% vertical integration of components manufacture [4], expansion of its model range with plans for new affordable and luxury vehicles [1], increased R&D investment focused on intelligent driving technologies and product innovation [1], and robust sales momentum driven by new model launches and peak sales season marketing efforts [1].

As of the end of July 2023, Leapmotor had accumulated total deliveries of 871,341 vehicles since its establishment. The company currently offers seven models in China: T03, B10, B01, C01, C10, C11, and C16 [6]. The T03, B01, and B10 are exclusively available as battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants, while the other models (C01, C10, C11, and C16) are also available as extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) [7].

The B01, the second model in Leapmotor's B series, targets a market segment with lower prices and higher sales volumes compared to the C series [8]. The B01 was launched on July 24, 2023, with a starting price of RMB 89,800 ($12,460) [9]. Within 72 hours of its launch, the B01 received 10,132 pre-orders [9]. However, this article does not provide information about the sales or delivery figures for the B01.

In 2024, Leapmotor delivered 293,724 vehicles, up 103.76% from 2023 [10]. The monthly delivery volume grew by 4.42% month-on-month from 48,006 units in June 2023, and increased by 126.90% year-on-year from 22,093 units in July 2022 [11].

Leapmotor's success is a testament to its strategic approach and commitment to innovation. As the company continues to grow, it is poised to make a significant impact in the global EV market.
