Lighting manufacturer MA introduces the latest model in its line, the grandMA3-Console

MA Lighting has launched a new lighting control console, the grandMA3, offering significant improvements and features for professional lighting control.

The grandMA3 console boasts a large multi-touchscreen surface, including two internal foldable monitor multi-touch screens, two internal letterbox multi-touch screens, two internal multi-touch command screens, and the ability to connect two external multi-touch screens for enhanced control and user interface flexibility.

One of the key advantages of the grandMA3 is its massive parameter handling capacity, allowing real-time control of up to 250,000 parameters per session when connected with grandMA3 processing units, making it ideal for large and complex lighting shows.

The console also features a multitude of tactile controls, such as 41 rotary RGB backlit encoders, 5 backlit dual encoders, 15 motorized 60 mm faders, and 60 separate playbacks, all designed to improve programming speed and live operation.

Additional features include 16 assignable X-keys, an integrated keyboard drawer, and individually backlit, dimmable silent keys (clickless), facilitating customized workflows and silent operation in live settings.

The grandMA3 console also includes a built-in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for reliability in critical environments, and extensive connectivity options, including multiple DMX outputs, USB ports, MIDI In/Out, Linear Timecode, audio input, and multiple DisplayPorts for external screens, supporting integration with other stage and video equipment.

Compared to previous generations, the grandMA3 introduces significant performance upgrades in parameter handling, screen real estate with multiple high-resolution touchscreens, and expanded connectivity. These enhancements collectively provide a more powerful, flexible, and user-friendly lighting control experience suitable for high-end touring and production lighting.

Three additional small touch displays (letterbox screens) are included under the larger main screen of the grandMA3 console, allowing for direct play and manipulation of media content. The user surface of the grandMA3 console has been ergonomically redesigned and can be individually adjusted.

The grandMA3 range has improved software and hardware synergy, unlocking new creative possibilities for lighting designers, including more intuitive control surfaces and remote control options via mobile apps. A new effects plan facilitates the storage of multi-step effect sequences in a cue or preset, while a 3D visualizer for pre-programming is integrated into the grandMA3-Software.

The grandMA3 console is also compatible with the grandMA2 series, allowing the import of previously created show files. All console versions of the grandMA3 have motorized faders installed, and the console is designed with a new system architecture. All functions in the grandMA3 control console are generic, enabling intuitive control.

Each user can individually configure the larger screens on the grandMA3 console, and the grandMA3 console features newly integrated fixtures, features, and effects. The launch of the grandMA3 console will take place at Prolight + Sound on April 10, and additional information about the console will be published at the event.

In summary, the grandMA3 lighting console is distinguished by its massive parameter handling capacity, advanced multitouch user interface, extensive physical controls, robust connectivity, and built-in power reliability, marking a substantial improvement over legacy consoles.

This grandMA3 console, an advancement by MA Lighting, showcases its superiority with the incorporation of multiple touchscreen surfaces, allowing for real-time control of intricate technology and gadgets, as well as improved parameter handling that can manage up to 250,000 parameters per session with grandMA3 processing units.

The versatile user interface of the grandMA3, featuring numerous tactile controls and a built-in uninterruptible power supply, aims to provide a more efficient, streamlined, and reliable technology-driven lighting control experience, ideally suited for high-end events.
