Luke Griffiths Named UK CEO & CCO at SumUp, Driving Growth and Innovation

Luke Griffiths has been promoted to the dual role of UK CEO and Chief Commercial Officer at SumUp. Griffiths, previously serving as Group Chief Commercial Officer at Klarna and leading eBay's Marketing Solutions division, brings extensive experience to his new position.

Griffiths will continue to oversee SumUp's global commercial operations while leading the UK team. Since joining SumUp in October 2023, he has significantly contributed to the company's growth and expansion. Griffiths has assembled a sales team of 150 in the UK, acquiring over 1000 new customers monthly, with AI involved in nearly half of these deals.

Under his leadership, SumUp has launched innovative products like the SumUp Terminal and an in-app call feature for UK merchants. This feature has improved customer service, boosting satisfaction scores by 15%. Griffiths is now focused on unlocking new growth opportunities in the UK hospitality and enterprise sectors.

With Griffiths at the helm, SumUp's UK operations and global commercial strategies are set to strengthen. His appointment comes as Steve Delpy rejoins SumUp as a Non-Executive Director, bringing valuable experience from his previous roles at financial giants like JP Morgan, American Express, and Visa.
