MAD STARS 2025 Kicks Off in Busan: Young Creatives Compete, Industry Leaders Discuss AI and Creativity
MAD STARS 2025, the global advertising festival, has kicked off in Busan. The New Stars and Young Stars competitions are underway, giving young creatives 30 hours to develop and present innovative solutions. The festival, which runs until August 29, explores the coexistence of technology and human creativity through insightful sessions and keynotes from industry leaders.
The festival began on-site awards judging on August 25, with the Final Jury starting round two. The main festival continues on August 27 with an opening ceremony and gala in the evening. On August 26, the New Stars and Young Stars Mad Competitions officially opened, giving participants 30 hours to showcase their creativity.
Four industry leaders will participate in a Conversation with the Executive Jury during the festival. Alex Abrantes, Chief Creative Officer, North America, Iris Worldwide, will deliver a keynote on creative intelligence and AI. The closing keynote will be presented by John Jonghyun Kim, global president and CEO of Cheil, focusing on AI and human creativity.
The winners of both competitions will be announced at the Mad Stars Awards Show on August 29, marking the end of this year's festival. MAD STARS 2025 continues to foster creativity and innovation in the advertising industry, bringing together top talent and industry leaders to celebrate and explore the future of creativity in the digital age.
