Maruti Suzuki's Navratri Sales Surge to 1.65 Lakh Vehicles
Maruti Suzuki has witnessed a remarkable surge in sales during the Navratri season this year. The company delivered 1.65 lakh vehicles in the first eight days, with projections reaching 2 lakh by Dussehra. This marks a significant increase from last year's total of around 1 lakh vehicles.
The growth can be attributed to several factors. Exports have soared by 50 per cent, reaching around 42,000 units. Notably, demand is being led by smaller markets beyond India's top 100 cities. Sales have nearly doubled compared to last year, with bookings hitting an all-time high of 2.5 lakh units. The GST rate cut in August has also sparked fresh enthusiasm in the market.
Maruti Suzuki's production teams are working tirelessly to meet these high demands. They are operating on Sundays and holidays to ensure delivery targets are met. Small cars are driving much of this growth, with sales posting a 100 per cent jump compared to last year. Despite the record sales, there are still 2.5 lakh pending bookings in the pipeline.
Maruti Suzuki's Navratri sales have been bolstered by increased exports, strong demand from smaller markets, and the GST rate cut. The company is working hard to meet the high demand, with production teams operating extended hours. Despite the impressive sales figures, there is still a significant number of bookings to be fulfilled.
