The McIntosh CR106 is a 6-zone preamplifier and multi-room audio matrix system designed for audiophiles and custom installers seeking a flexible, high-fidelity multi-room audio experience with centralized control and sophisticated zone management.

This compact, rack-mountable device requires only 2U of space and comes with mounting brackets for easy installation. Each audio zone supported by the McIntosh CR106 has two sets of unbalanced outputs and dedicated subwoofer outputs, providing ample flexibility for complex setups.

  • Zones & Outputs: Six independent zones, each with two sets of unbalanced stereo outputs plus a dedicated subwoofer output per zone, allowing for complex setups such as driving four speakers and two subs in a single zone or distributing identical audio to two zones simultaneously.
  • Inputs: Four unbalanced analog inputs and four digital inputs to connect a variety of sources.
  • Audio Streaming: Built-in Bluetooth support with aptX HD and aptX Adaptive for wireless high-quality streaming from smartphones or other devices.
