Mesta Raises $5.5M to Revolutionize Cross-Border Payments
Mesta, a revolutionary global fiat and stablecoin payments network, has successfully closed a $5.5 million seed round. This funding will support the company's expansion and growth in the enterprise-grade cross-border payments sector.
Mesta combines the reliability and compliance of fiat rails with the speed and cost-efficiency of stablecoin rails, creating a hybrid network that offers faster, cheaper, and more efficient payments. The company's settlement times often take just a few minutes, and customers save over 50% on fees compared to traditional systems.
The seed round was led by Village Global, with participation from Circle Ventures, Paxos, and WTI - Western Technology Investment. Existing backers including Garuda Ventures, Canonical Crypto, Everywhere Ventures, and Inventum Ventures also contributed. Since its launch 11 months ago, Mesta has processed over $140 million in total payment volume (TPV) and is expected to surpass $300 million by year-end. The company's customer base includes payment companies, SMB fintechs, crypto wallets, and OTC desks.
The recently passed Genius Act and the rising liquidity and adoption of stablecoins indicate a favorable regulatory and market environment for enterprise-grade blockchain-enabled payments. Mesta will use the capital raised to expand its global entry features, strengthen its international teams, and accelerate growth worldwide.
With its innovative hybrid payment network and successful seed round, Mesta is well-positioned to revolutionize the global payments landscape. The company's unique approach to combining fiat and stablecoin rails, coupled with its experienced leadership, sets it apart in the competitive fintech sector.
